How to create an alcohol material?

I’m trying to create alcoholic beverages for an Architectural Visualization but am stuck in terms of how to go about creating a material for alcohol (beer, wine, etc. including foam for the beer).

I’ve tried playing around with refraction and opacity among other values, but it just looks more like glass or water rather than alcohol for the liquid. For the foam, I really have no clue how to go about it.

It always helps to break down the different effects that you need to achieve into a list…

Foam head properties:
opaque, but somewhat transmissive. Might be a good candidate for the subsurface scattering shader.

Liquid, with a slight tint to it
Bubbles - maybe a particle effect?

That’s just how I might break it down, but by observing good reference, you’ll probably come up with your own list.
