How to block some parts of the directional light?

Hi, i’m basically trying to recreate a basic light blocker you would use in maya or katana, other engines have this simple thing as a feature but ue doesnt. It’s for a cinematic not a game. I can block it by checking on hidden shadow and turning off visible but then it makes it pitch black, i wanna be able to control it’s opacity as well. Anyone know how to do this?

I dont have any blueprint knowledge at all so if you know a solution there it’d be great if you can expand as much as possible! Thank you sm!

Hi Melanoz, Welcome to the Forums.

By adding a SkyLight Component you’ll be able to brighten up your shadows.

Click on the add objects button (White cube with green ‘+’ symbol in upper left) and search for Skylight.
