I have a scene with quite a bit of foliage, but i was wondering if there is an easy way to control the foliage of specific trees so that there is a randomness in the materials as well?
Im so sorry if this comes off as dumb but will that make a color change on each and every foliage asset? Cause i dont wanna use the color gradient on the global foliage actor, i have realised it kinda messes up a lot of stuff…Is there a more updated/recent video for the application on this…?
Woah and this works with MASS foliage like world building level trees and stuff too?
Also, can you control it in the tree’s parameters?
Foliage is foliage, no?
It’s a material parameter, so any instanced object with that material, has it.
Hmm…
Im still trynna find the one master material for the leaves right now tbh
All i can see as the master material is just this
Try double clicking this
I think since i added two different packs, im getting two of those now hehe…
But i shall brb whilst trying the variation thingy…
Just as a confirmation, im gonna make a lerp 3 color, connect by base texture and 2 more colors, make the world pivot+add in the alpha and connect them to the base color…
Hopefully this works
Wait umm quick question thoug. Should i just connect a scalar parameter by multiplying the interp node so tha i get the power to change colors?
You do it just like I did above, except one input of the lerp is the base texture, the other is the base texture * a color.
Thankss, i got through!
Very good
Please consider taking a look at this
I did look at it, I don’t have an answer, I’m afraid.
I think it might be something to do with shadow distance and the directional light, but I’m not sure where that’s set now with Lumen…
