It is a postprocess effect which happens masked by a growing radius sphere. You need to research 1st to a postprocess which can give you the look, than you set it to your postprocessvolume and when activated you just drive the value for a spheremask radius for a amount of time enough for the duration you want the effect to go.
cant see the video as its blocked by copyright but 1 second on google got me to this link, iv used this post process before and its fantastic, you can even set meshs to appear a different color by setting custom depth on them

That’s helped us, now we just need to figure out how to give walls that “transparent” look through post process.
