We are a game development team from the University of Applied Sciences in Breda. We are currently working on a year-long fighting game project, but we have been stuck on this issue for a while.
We aim for multicolor grading for our scene, similarly to how it’s done in Street Fighter 5.
We assume these layers are made using depth of field since every level uses the same range in distance to the camera.
How do we use multiple LUT (lookup tables) in our scene? So we can use different color grading for background and foreground.
If this is not possible, is it perhaps possible to only have color grading on the background and exclude the foreground?
