How to achieve glass shadows in 5.4 tray tracer?

In 5.4 the “translucent” blend mode is no more and in its place there is tranlucentgreytransmittance and translucentcoloredtrasmittance but neither allow to achieve translucent shadows. Is there any way to achieve translucent shadows in 5.4?

Translucent blend mode is still very much in 5.4. It’s just not available in Substrate, which you appear to have enabled if you’re seeing the alternative blend modes.

Substrate is still experimental and may have some missing feature support. You may want to check the Feedback Thread for it. If you do post an issue you’re going to need to supply more information about the issue, Unreal has lots of raytracing features and it’s not clear which one you’re talking about here (path tracing maybe?)

thanks. is it possible to have substrate activated and still using the default settings so utilizing translucence?

Not that I’m aware of, no way to go back either. Substrate is a one way trip.

You can get translucent shadows via a Cvar with RT shadows (greyscale only tho), but I don’t think raster works currently.

what cvar would make that shadow? I had shadows from all my translucent in 5.3, but now in 5.4 is all gone. no matter what I do> translucent make no more shadow
