How i create customizable colors on a model?

I’m making 3D models for the “Tennogen” program in Warframe. Hitsu San is a professional artist who makes work for Warframe, and even codes his own plugins. He made something for Unity that allows him to customize the colors of his tintmask, affecting colorable zones on the model in real time.
