How do you disengage enemy AI from the player

In much needed help here currently I have the AI chase and attack the player once the player pawn has entered the AI pawn vision by using Pawn Sensing, when I try to disengage from the enemy AI by hiding behind a wall or moving out of its vision cone it was still able to track me down until it has killed me, right now I need to know is how or what is the logic for the AI pawn to disengage and return to its patrol once it has lost sight of the player, much appreciated for those helping me I don’t know what I am doing half the time.
