How do I use the Vive to occlude the virtual objects behind real objects in AR?

Hi guys, I have a project where I need to augment the surroundings of a real object so that everything except for the real object in virtual. I am using the HTC Vive and using SRWorks but I just cannot get the AR app to occlude the virtual object behind the real object.

This seems to have become broken for ARCore plugin since urneal version 5.3…
I am thinking of reporting it to their bug tracking.

Enabling the option “Use scene depth for occlusion” in the ARCore session config should enable this together with “EnableSessionTrackingFeature = SceneDepth” but now only the camera feed gets visible when this is on. And the tracked depth is nulled. Seems like the depth capture for ARCore does not work for AR atm.
