How do I stop my sky from exploding?

I’ve started getting this weird blowout/bloom effect on some of my levels. I can’t rightly figure out why, since this wasn’t happening before, and they don’t look like this in-editor, only during play.

Last time this was happening it turned out I had multiple post-process volumes, but that doesn’t appear to be the cause this time. Any suggestions on how I can save my eyeballs here?

I assume it’s first person that by the view, you can apply Post processing to the first person camera so check the setting. Also check the project rendering settings as that has bloom and auto exposure on by default.

I unchecked those settings and made sure the PP on the camera had no active parameters, should I set its PP to EV=1 and no compensation too?

Try my settings and see if it works for you. Added bloom setting

Also make sure, that your Post Process Volume is set to infinite extent - unbound, so that it affects the whole world. Otherwise it will only affect the area/camera within its bounds.

No dice, it actually seems to be a bit worse

My gut is telling me there has to be some sort of additive or multiplicative effect being applied here, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what or where.

This is checked.

Update: This appears to affect all levels, as I’ve gotten the problem to occur on a Basic template level too. Perhaps it’s some sort of project setting? Or maybe there is something the player camera’s doing that I’m just not seeing.

It’s weird that this wasn’t a problem before, it just seemed to show up randomly here. I must have done something without realizing it.

Stop the presses lads, this one was my bad. I created a vignette awhile ago for when the player crouched. Turns out I was setting the defaults to non-zero values so when the vignette was inactive, it would do the reverse of its function (So, instead of making the edges dark, it was making the middle bright). I still appreciate the assistance, as it did help me track this down faster.

Glad you figured it out, good luck in your project and learning.
