Can’t find anything on this, but I have a scene with an interior directional light and an exterior directional light on different channels, I want to move the sun in my sky (the exterior light), but CTRL + L is only grabbing the interior light. I’ve tried selecting the exterior directional light first and changing the directional light index of the exterior light to 0 and the interior index to 1 and vice versa.
The directional light is a light that simulates the sun because it is “infinitely far away”. It is therefore not really recommended to use as an interior light.
In my understanding, the engine I kind of built to handle “one” directional light due to the fact that it acts as the sun. And as you say, it only selects one of them when you try to rotate it with CTRL+L.
It is really up to your preference. I recommend using point lights where an actual light bulb is sitting, but then you can always add a few other lights (rectlights for example) to make it brighter.
But good to keep in mind, is that every light source is a cost to performance. So the more lights you have, the heavier it will become. I therefor suggest that you disable the “cast shadows” option on the lights that doesn’t really need it.
