How do I recenter a static mesh

When I drop a static mesh it shows very far away from the widge(move, rotate and resize). Is there a way to recenter them?

EDIT: I tried re-centering the pivot in 3DS Max but I still get the same result.

Sounds like you messed up the “origin” in the 3D software. That would be the only reason your “axis” is far from your “mesh”. Go back into the 3D software and re-center the origin of the mesh there then re-import.

ALT + Middle-Mouse moves the pivot, then Right-click the actor and choose Pivot > Set as Pivot Offset to save it.

It does it only for 1 instance though… Is there a way to apply that to the main static mesh so I dont have to do it for all of them?

I’m not sure how to apply it to all already created instances, and just having a quick play around with it: are you applying it to the main static mesh, in static mesh editor?

I dont think there’s a way to do it in static mesh editor. Alt+Middle Mouse click doesnt do anything

If you reset x-forms in 3ds max when your item is at 0,0,0 does this fix the issue?

I had to open it again in blender and recenter it. There is no other way ATM to do this within UE4

Yeah. It was pain in the butt since I have 150+ of them. LOL

I figured haha
