How do i make roughness/metallic look in a material from very far away?

Im making a top down rts game that is supposed to be done with cubes and simple forms. Though the simple forms should have high quality materials. Like 100% realistic metallic cubes, gold cubes, etc…
So in the material editor they look nice and crispy. But when i put them in the world and zoom away it looks nothing like it should be.

Since its an RTS game it will play a lot from the top and far away. So what should i do to make it look better?
As is all my shapes look so dull, and dont look metallic at all from far away, only if you zoom in.

Shiny objects look VERY plain if there’s nothing to reflect. Right now, you are indeed reflecting the floor and the sky, but it looks dull because of the view angles and the sky by itself doesn’t add too much. If you look at the preview, it has a building in the background as a HDRI sphere. That’s why it’s there. To make shiny objects look good. When you place it in your level, it’s up to you to make sure you have enough things in your level so that your shiny objects will have something to reflect.

Here are two really good videos on lighting in unreal engine. I can’t recommend these videos enough. Watch them both.

For your issue, you can go to the first video at this timestamp:
