I have an emmisive dome/sphere surrounding my scene. I would like to keep the effect of the dome for lighting but i would like to hide it from being seen in the viewport and camera. How do i do this?

In the skylight, you can choose an environment lighting to sample. You can’t sample your dome exactly, but there are plenty of HDRI images out there that will have a similar, or in fact better, effect.
can i set the HDRI to emit a color instead of an HDRI image? i already have an HDRI in the scene. I was gonna use an all blue dome to raise the shadows
You can just set the skylight color?
Also, if you set the HDRI in the skylight, you don’t see an HDRI, it just uses it to make the lighting more correct…
i turned on real-capture under the skylight and that fixed the black issue, do you know how to hide the hdri from the camera but still get the lighting from it?
You can’t do that, I’m afraid.
Skylight like this
