So i imported some grass from 3ds max into unreal and after i placed it, i could not move through it.
how do i do that so that it looks like my character is actually on the grass but not above it.

when you imported the mesh did you uncheck auto generate collision? You can see if collision is on the grass in the editor by clicking on “show” and check collision, you will see the outline of the collision volume around the grass. If that is the problem you can fix it by opening up the mesh editor by clicking on the mesh in your content browser and goto collision drop down menu next to meshes and select remove collision.
