How do I get Steam avatars with advanced sessions to not depend on your friends list?

I’m trying to get steam avatars and steam names to appear above the players head. And it all works fine on multiplayer and everything. But when I joined a session with someone who I didn’t have added, it wouldn’t display the name or the avatar, but since they are hosting they could see my name and avatar.

This is also called by my character controller

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
