I want to create a baseline that uses the absolute bare minimum of rendering post-processing, to the point that the engine is only drawing meshes with materials and nothing else, so that I can tweak settings one at a time and get a feel for what they all do. How can I go about doing this?
In editor you can disable post processing in Show->Post-Processing
This affects post-processing in the editor, not in the scene itself.
Well then use post peocessing volume, you can turn on unbound to make it global.
