I have been creating stuff in unreal engine 4 for the past day or so and I was wondering if there is a way to apply textures to multiple stairs at once? I have been applying them to every stair and it takes a lot longer this way. Thanks in advance I’m a noob with the engine but enjoying it a lot.
I guess you mean stairs created with the respective brush inside UE4.
This goes for all the brushes (not just stairs):
- Select a face i.e. any “side” of any stair. Be sure to select a face and NOT the brush.
- Hit “ctrl + b” to select all the faces.
- Drag 'n drop the material from the content browser.
Awesome. Thanks
Good answer. Also, once you’ve selected one geometry surface in the level, clock on the “BSP / Select” button in the “Details” panel – it contains a lot of options for selecting related surfaces.
Step 2 is incorrect. The correct key sequence is “shift + b” not “ctrl = b”.
This pops up as a high result on google when searching for this, so thought I would add the correction. It had me baffled for a minute until I found the answer elsewhere.
