I just spent the whole day yesterday looking for a solution, but I just spent the whole day yesterday
looking for a solution, but couldn’t find one. That’s why I wanted to dedicate some time to you and
hope that you can help me. What I want to access is the direction of the “white little arrow” in the
directional light so that I know which direction the light is coming from (as the built-in sun in unreal
engine 5 is infinitely far away and doesn’t exist in 3D space I can’t get it’s location…). Thank you all in advance for your help and time!
What do you mean by “access” it? Access from where? The rotation can be viewed from the UI, it can be retrieved from blueprints by getting the transform, if you just want a vector I believe the forward vector for the light component is the direction of the light. From the material editor you can access it using the SkyAtmosphere sun direction (or something to that effect)

I could have sworn I did exactly the same thing but now after you’ve told me the ways of getting it, I’ve sat down and tried again…it worked. Thank you so much Arkiras! You are a hero.
