I recently set up an Aim Offset for my character. My game is a first person shooter that uses True FPS - which means the third person character is the only character in the game (I’m not planning on doing a third person and first person character setup) So far the Aim Offset is working great! However…
There are three poses in this 1D Aim Offset - aiming a pistol straight up, aiming a pistol forward, and aiming a pistol straight downward. If the character is ever in any of those extreme positions, it looks awesome. Yet if he is ever between those poses, his hands get skewed. His hands move in a figure 8 pattern away from the center while tweening. They no longer match up and it doesn’t look like he’s holding the pistol.
I’ll attach an image to show the problem. I don’t think there is an issue with my Blueprints, but I can post those later if anyone wants to see it. I’m posting here because I’m not sure what the issue could be or how to fix it, and I’m hoping someone has encountered this before. For all I know, my animations could be the problem…
