How can I make a road from point A to B, without splines?

I’d like to make a road from point A to B, the reason I can’t use splines is because it needs to feel like it is apart of the landscape, and roads just don’t, the road would be a dirt road with some pebbles in it that gets more developed as it gets to towns at either point, I have the textures, so how do I put it into practice?

I’m using the Kite Demo materials, is there a way I can also add these dirt textures as landscape layers, to the kite demo landscape material? It’s calling on material functions instead of the regular landscape material setup, which uses layer blends.

  • The transition from dirt to grass needs to be seamless, thats why I can’t use splines.
