How can i get Root motion velocity, when root motion mode is set to "ignore root motion"


For a reference, i have several animations with root motion turned on. And with the root motion mode set to “root motion from everything”
Here when i press SPACE, there’s applied an upwards left velocity, and the character flies into the air. If i start walking though, that velocity is completely overridden.

There is a “ignore root motion” mode, that says it extracts the root motion, without applying it. But there is seemingly no way to then get that root motion so you can use it yourself.

I wanna get the root motion, without applying it, and then add it to my character controller manually. Is this possible?

When any root motion ends the character always stops completely before resuming movements.

Edit: The momentum stop problem when root motion completes has been mysteriously solved by changing this setting: “Root Motion from Everything” to “Root Motion from Montages Only”
And then the dodging root motion plays smoothly with normal non root motion blend space movements.
