how can i export Mental ray materials from Maya and import them into UE4?

i am trying to export a Mia_material_x on a basic sphere and cube but i’m not sure how to get them into UE4 where i can still see the objects as fbx doesn’t work. i dont know if this is possible but if it is i would really appreciate being shown how.


It is not possible. Mental ray not the same what Unreal Engine PBR render. And FBX not support mental ray shaders. You need import your textures and create shader in UE4.
