I’m having an issue with flickering / shimmering in a cinematic render and I’m trying to understand what is causing it and how to fix it.
I’m rendering a static architectural scene in Unreal Engine using Lumen lighting. The problem appears when I do a slow camera move-in: some parts like the red panel and the valcony start to flicker or shimmer during the movement.
I am new to unreal, however since no one replied yet: Try increasing lumen’s scene detail setting. Also try to render it with temporal sample count to 32. Another thing that might worth experimenting with (even though ppl usually avoids it) is TSR AA method also with 32. (You would have to change temporal sample count to the same value in console command before rendering.)
