I’m just learning unreal engine, so, when I was building environment I noticed that some trees had holes in it. I’m using European Beech forest. When I’m getting little bit far away from the trees, holes start to apear on some of them and when I’m getting closer again, they disappear. I don’t know how to fix that so… Help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Hello there @Daily_Gamer_Max! Let’s try to figure this one out.
The issue you are describing is tied to the asset’s current LOD values or Nanite setup. Both techs affect the polygon count of your asset, based on the current viewing distance. The closer you get, more polygons are rendered, and the farther you get, less poly count is used.
If holes are appearing at a certain point, it means that the mesh on those trees is either not properly closed, or its poly count is reaching a level too low. Adjusting the values for either LOD or Nanite should fix the problem.
Here you will find the details for both techs, how to use them, and adjust their parameters:
Thank you so much. And unreleated question. If you could help me with that as well, I’d be happiest
guy on this planet. So I was following this tutorial about portals:
In this video they were working with Player Camera, but I need to use Cine Camera, but I don’t know how to make it happen.
Hi again @Daily_Gamer_Max, of course we can help you. Since this is a new inquiry, we would just need you to open a new thread for it, as the original question has already been addresed. Thank you!
uhh… I feel bad by asking you this, but I created another thread for that prblem and I’ve been waiting for more than 20 hours, but no one. answered can you check that out?
I’m thankful for your help.
