HMD SP vs HMD PD

Hi,

I saw that since oculus 0.6 came out that HMD SP was now being deprecated in favor of HMD PD, I understand that this alters pixel density but can I assume they work in a simlar fasion.

Could anyone shed light on what we should be using and how?
