HMD height has become unreliable after porting to 4.17. My project started as a VR template on 4.15, still worked well in 4.16 and after porting to 4.17 yesterday. If I load the 4.16 version back up it is still 100% reliable.
Anecdotally, it seems like first time I go into VR preview after loading my 4.17 project the player height is correct. The next time I enter preview I am somewhere near the floor (though the exact height varies). Most of my actors are on the floor anyway so I have been ignoring the issue. I find that about once every ten times I start vr preview I get the correct player height again. Additionally, when the player height is wrong the chaperone boundaries are still placed correctly (meaning they are underground with me).
Has anyone else had similar issues? I don’t want to overwrite my motion controllers or pawn with new version from a 4.17 template project because I have a bunch of customization.
