HLODs are included in global distance fields!

Why are HLODs included in global distance fields if they arent even visible yet? They are turning everything pitch black for GI when you float into them.

Basically means lumen is pointless if you are using hlods to replace buildings that have interiors.

The building is a level instance… that level instance has its own HLOD generated when it is open since u cannot generate hlods for level instances in the master scene.

nevermind. I found the solution. In the HLOD generation settinngs there is a check box to not create a distance field for HLOD… you want that off not on.
