HLODs are broken after v38.00

We are in 38.11?

Not fixed for me. I still have specific non desired HLOD layers such as NeonHLOD (for building frames) or AsteriaTreesHLOD…

Tried to delete and rebuild HLODs and it doesn’t work.

Tried to remove these mentioned layers from assets and rebuild HLODs and it still doesn’t work.

Any workaround or something else to make it working again?

Found a solution on my own :slight_smile:

  1. Deleting all existing HLODs
    After that, do not save. Double-click on the Level thumbnail in the Content Browser to reload level. Save if prompted.

  2. In the Content Brower, click on the name of your map and Update Redirector References.

  3. In the World Settings, make sure that the field name is not filled by a default name (acting like a placeholder). If this is the case, you should see a “None” when building HLODs.

  4. “is2D” should be checked. Didn’t use the HLOD Partitions array.

  5. Once you did this, build HLODs again. It worked with all items including trees.
