Summary
When a player joins a match in progress, the Hive Stash device does not visually or physically reflect its correct state. Regardless of whether the Hive Stash was set to spawn empty, containing loot, or with someone trapped inside, the new player will always see a static closed chest mesh at the spawn location.
This mesh behaves like a prop:
- It does not break open or disappear if the chest has already been looted/destroyed.
- It retains collision, blocking player movement as if it were still present.
- If the chest is respawned, the new player sees overlapping meshes, stacking on top of each other.
This makes gameplay inconsistent and can cause movement blocking and confusion.

Devices
Steps to Reproduce
- Place one or more Hive Stash devices in an island.
- Configure the chest with any setting (Empty, Loot, or Trapped).
- Start the match with Player A.
- Have Player A interact with or destroy the Hive Stash.
- Mid-match, have Player B join the island.
- Observe: Player B still sees a static unopened Hive Stash mesh with collision. If respawned, meshes stack.
Expected Result
- Players joining mid-match should see the current state of the Hive Stash (opened, destroyed, or absent).
- Collision should be removed when the chest is no longer present.
- Respawns should not duplicate static meshes.
Observed Result
- Mid-join players always see a closed Hive Stash mesh, regardless of actual state.
- Mesh remains static and collidable.
- Respawning creates overlapping meshes.
