We’re in the process of moving to 4.19 from 4.18. We use the forward renderer, so instruction counts already look high, but when migrating to 4.19 we noticed that the bulk of our materials (maybe all) increased their base pass shader instruction count by ~30. At the same time, the vertex shader instruction count went down by about the same amount.
Is this normal? Should we be concerned?
We’re also having general performance issues in 4.19 builds so we’re thinking this might be a candidate. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
