Hierarchical Instanced Mesh Material disappears

I have a problem with setting up the material in the hierarchical instanced mesh. Static mesh displays material in the editor and level correctly, but when I add this object to the hierarchical instanced mesh, the material disappears. I tried to add material in different ways, each time without results. What can be a problem?

ok got it. By some miracle, normal tend to invert after adding to instanced mesh - it is possible that this is a bug
