I’m curious if it’s possible to hide the ground, either the mesh or just material but still keep the shadow (similar to how a window reflection on a transparent material would be like but with a shadow) The only help I found is for an invisible object to cast shadows (cast hidden shadows) but not the other way around.
I think that effect should be possible, if you create a shadow catcher material, apply it to the ground, and setup the parameters so the ground looks “hidden”, while the shadow remains active. The video guide below should allow you to get said result:
