Well hello there!
Nice to see an official community manager designated on Epic’s end! I think you’ll enjoy it here, most of us are pretty laid back, and try to help each other best we can. What all does your new gig entail? Is it like being a mod, or more of an push for more interaction with the community? Either way I love how EPIC’s team have had such a big role in the community (I mean what other engine are you going to see a guy like Sweeney answering questions on a ???), you guys deserve a lot of credit for the way you have approached new engine. The engine alone would be enough, however creating the community you have and allowing it to help shape what makes up the Unreal Engine is really what makes engine stand out from the others. (and I say as a former CE user, since switching back in april it has been incredible how big of a difference there is).
So welcome to the forums! Thanks for the intro!
*ps… So does make you some kind of an Uber mod???, 's already taken the “Super Mod” title… But I think the “The Mod God” title is all yours if you want it!! haha
Thanks for the kind words, . We understand the value of having a strong community and continually strive to provide the best engine we can :). has been a huge help on AnswerHub and on the forums - Super Mod indeed! I’ll just be referred to as “The Dude”, if we are going to go there with formalities
