Hi there, I’ve been using volumetric for UE5.3 and really do like the look of it, however it has some very intense artifacting when the camera moves that makes it completely useless. With something like a bounding box rendered/lagging when moving left/right and distant mesh/sky highlighting though the light when moving any direction. All this can be seen in the video.
I’ve tried lots of settings, from fog start/finish, post processing, GridPixelSize, HistoryWeight, TemporalReprojection and lots more. Nothing I do seems to make any difference. Is volumetric fog just not up to the task of heavy fog in dark/contrast with long view distance? Do I need to move to fake light cones in UE?
Hopefully someone more experienced has had and resolved/reduced this issue.
