I have done some searching but can’t seem to find any information for my exact question so i am hoping someone can help.
I have my landscape material just called “main_Landscape” (Also instanced so i can change some values on the fly like tiling etc…) within that i am using a few materials like grass, stone, gravel etc… so that i can paint them on myself.
For the grass i added that in using the UE4 foliage tool (right click in content browser - foliage - landscape grass type) Then the “landscapeGrassOutput” node within the “main_landscape” material.
My grass static mesh obviously has the grass material added, Within the grass materials i have wind normals all set up and they work great my grass waves around like it should etc… but my question is with the way i have my grass set up is there any way i can control the wind? For example wind strength and direction but i want to be able to do it within the “main_landscape” material so that i can change it on the fly instead of having to do it within the grass material and it only being a “constant” instead of variable?
I know there are other ways to put grass into the world and control wind with blueprints etc… but i cant find any information on changing wind with the foliage tool and the way i have put my grass in as above, if it is even possible of course.
Hopefully i have explained well enough for people to understand but any questions are more than welcome.
Screenshot is of my “man_landscape” material (Other materials taken out so wasn’t cluttered) and just showing the “LandscapeGrassOutput” node so people know which one it is.
