Help with a material/lighting issue

Hey, I’m brand new to UE4, and Ijust ran into something that I can’t seem to figure out.
I made a texture to test out the material editor, put it in a level and noticed the lighting seems to get darker depending on the angle or something to that effect.

Tried it with various example materials and didn’t have this effect, tried to look at them to find the answer but didn’t know what to look for, maybe I did something stupid in the material editor, not sure really.

Anybody see something that I don’t?

My guess is it’s the “Clear Coat” shading model you have it set to. You probably want to use “Default Lit” for something like basic tiles.

Tried changing that and nothing seems to have changed in that regard.

See when I’m over here, I get this nice reflection below the light source.

But once I swing around to the other side, nothing…

Not sure if my normal map could be a factor here, new to all this stuff so I’ll throw this on here for good measure.
