HELP: Push object - after release - snaps back to origin position

Hi guys,

im experimenting in VR interaction possibilities. I really like the approch below, but I was wondering how to achieve this function.
Basically he pushed the plane in one direction, after releasing it, the plane snaps back to its origin position in a linear way - looks like it’s attached to some kind of spring.

Any suggestions how to achieve this?
