Nope, but when I try to apply I get this error message “To qualify as an island creator, your Epic account must have first logged into Fortnite at least 90 days before applying, and 21 of your last 90 days must include island editing in Fortnite Creative and/or UEFN.”
And I have logged a couple times in the past 90 days, which makes this even worse.
The reason it wont publish is because of a coding error within the publishing window. Its a thing with Chrome 101 and string data limits and Epic hasnt fixed their thing to work within the limitations.
To do that you need to be over 18 or something and have all sorts of bank account crap added to it. I just wanna make a map for me and my friends to mess around on so we can just have fun. Im not in it to make money or anything at all. So im not even eligeable to join the thing and theres no other way for me to make maps at all.
Am i allowed to make a suggestion for a change? If youre part of the official staff maybe you can pass this up to the people in charge of the fortnite uefn. But what if monetization would only be available to those on the creator program and being able to publicly list the game? Since verification and more proper moderation would be required for that. But for maps that are just for people and their friends, a basic review can be made (so you can be sure the map doesnt violate fortnite TOS) and it be done there? I guess this is just a long way of asking why is all of this verification needed for people who want to make maps? I get its for moderation purposes but why the age restriction? I understand the bank account stuff for monetization but can there be an option to opt out of monetization so those of us who nake maps just for fun can avoid that hassle?
Hey! I am trying to join but unfortunally I can’t because of the 90/21 rules. The error it gives is very vague. Not trying to monetize my maps. Just trying to publish them to playtest with my twitch viewers. Right now, the only way to playtest them is to give my viewers editing rights for my maps… and that is out of the question.
Shouldn’t be a whitelist for devs? I mean, It is a bit odd that after publishing 3 games in the Epic Games Store and passing exams from Epic to become an Epic Certified instructor and publishing games in 8 consoles I can’t publish fortnite maps.
Hey, so I haven’t enrolled yet to it, I was just discovering about that option, I can’t yet because of the 90/21 days rule, but I was also wanting to know if I can enroll without having to put a credit card, since for now it isn’t my plan to monetize with my island.
I’m having same issues m. I have contacted epic support and they haven’t said anything that could help me m. Jave tried the enroll thing but can’t get past that 90/21 rule. I just want to make a map to play with my friends and become better in fortnite creative. I don’t want to monetize or anything in that category.
At this point I’d assume that the only ones who can publish are those who had publishing rights already in Creative 1.0 and that the new system is just not operational.
I’m getting the same error when I try to publish and I get the 90/21 error when I try to enroll as an island creator, but I don’t get why I need to do that when I just want to be able to play my map with friends and not earn money.
Hi, I’m getting the same error with my map and I’m enrolled in the creator program. My map’s picture has my logo in it, could that be why? I used an NFT in my logo - owned by me, that I have commercial rights for to use as I please. The map also has a non copyrighted AI song in it. I removed that and tried republishing and got the same error, so I’ve added the music back in to the map and now I’m here trying to find answers. The map picture i used has fortnite item pngs and a still of the tunnels in my map - and my logo, as previously mentioned
