Help on EXR files to Davinci Resolve

Okay, so I’ve came across as issue. With my UE5 environment I usually use Davinci to color grade and use my signatures, however, I’ve hit a problem. I’m trying to convert my EXR files though in Davinci they look totally different. I’ve tried setting up color space, like here:

Here is my Davinci setup:

This is what I’m getting:

This is the UE5 environment:

I also tried this:

I would greatly appreciate the assistance I’m pulling my hair out.

You should check out William Faucher’s videos on the subject !

Okay I fixed it, all I did was disable tone curve then bring in Davinci, after that I used ACES Transform in fusion with sRGB texture and sRGB linear and it worked! Also, I have another question. When should I color grade? For example my environment I have here is fine the way I like it, but should I color grade it or leave it alone?

That’s an whole other question… If you’re happy with it, you have no obligation to color grade, but then you’re going through a lot of trouble exporting to resolve if you’re not gonna do anything with it.

The idea to export in aces is for you to have more control in colorgrade.

That said, i’d encourage you to try and tinker a bit with the grade now that you’re there

Yeah I’m probably going to leave this alone I’m just glad I’m making some progress. I’m always second guessing myself.
