Help! :( Low quality DOF/shadows through translucent materials

Hi there,
I’m having trouble with the rendering of either my depth of field or shadows of a few assets. It seems to show up more in shadowy areas and looks very boxy and low resolution when out of focus. I have a translucent glass material between the camera and the objects. Any idea what could be causing this? See image for a better example than I can put into words

Anyone have any ideas? I’ve tried everything I can think of.

ps. I get the same results both with and without raytracing.

In case anyone comes across this thread in the future, having similar issues – there was a light cone element added to some of the blueprints, which was conflicting with Lumen/something in UE5. Deleting this fixed the issue.

Hi there!
I was struggling with that issue for a bit, i see you found a solution, but you can try this one too without deleting any additional elements)
For all your translucent materials with such a visual bug change Translucency Pass parameter to Before DoF.
