Datasmith Archicad 26 - Twinmotion.
It's important.
Hello ,
Thank you for posting in the community your question about the Datasmith Exporter plugin for Archicad 26 availability. We are working on updating the plugin to be compatible for Archicad 26 and our current plans for making it available are late summer, early fall. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on this.
In order to get the content from Archicad 26 you can export a SKP or C4D files and import those into Twinmotion.
Kind regards,
Vincent B.
Any news?
Please 🙏
Please keep us posted.
Thank you!
Yes please - this plugin is super important for our workflow! When is the anticipated release date? 26 has been out for a couple months now and beta was available for a long time prior. Since technology moves at lightning speed these days it's critical to be able to hit the ground running with new versions.
please when the plug-in with archicad 26 is available?
Installed 26 yesterday, but back to 25 now until TM works, it has become a big part of our workflow so there's no point of updating Archicad.
I'm wondering what's causing this delay, last updates the TM plugin was available straight away. Did Graphisoft not give early access to development, or is TM focussing on other things (Revit), or is there an employee shortage, maybe something else is in the works (native archicad TM export)?
This is really becoming a problem for us now. Using the sketch up workaround is causing problems as we are losing materials when reimporting a revsied model. Can we please have an update when (or even 'if') the AC26 plugin is likley to be available?
Thankyou.

Please, please!
Honestly its not surprising. Since the Graphisoft & Twinmotion collaboration (deal) ended and Twinmotion have now moved to collaboration with Autodesk products. It seems ArchiCAD is no longer a priority. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont see it for a while.
I truly, sincerely hope to be proven wrong. Epic Games & Twinmotion, Prove me wrong!
It may be time to investigate a transition to Enscape. Passing through C4D or sketchup is unacceptable for nearly all professional workflows and holding off on upgrading our primary software for half a year in order to maybe have realtime isn't workable either.
so what Summer are we talking about here?
must admit this is getting a bit long in the teeth as saving ac files down to 25 just to be able to use twinmotion is just not feasible, if we need to pay for the link then do so
Please provide a clear timeline. Company workflows and project planning cannot work on "late summer / early fall".
If this is not a priority for you, please be clear about it so that we can move on. If a subscription is required, make your offer so that we can weigh our options.
Thank you, TM for providing AC users with the opportunity of integrating your software at no cost, however, now that you have our attention and commitment please, please don't leave us hanging like this. We have invested time and effort in training staff and developing an efficient workflow. It must also be said that although the workaround is not complicated, it is inconvenient. We basically work in AC26, save to AC25, overwrite the previous version of AC25 and re-sync the model to TM.
I have found a post here in the forum by Epic, 2 days ago:
"Hello,
We are actively working on updating our Datasmith plug-in for ArchiCad 26. We understand that the delay in releasing this plug-in has been an issue for our users. We are taking steps to reduce this delay in the future.
For Unreal Engine 5.0 and 5.1 users, there is a UE 5.1 Preview plug-in available now on the Unreal Engine Datasmith Downloads page. This Preview plug-in supports ArchiCad 26 on Windows. We expect the final version of this plug-in for Windows and Mac to be available with the launch of Unreal 5.1.
For Twinmotion users, this Datasmith plug-in supporting ArchiCad 26 will work with Twinmotion 2023.1 Preview 1 which is expected in the December timeframe (subject to change). Twinmotion 2022.2 and earlier versions are based on UE 4.27 and the latest UE 5.1 Datasmith plug-ins are not compatible.
Until Twinmotion 2023.1 is available, to work with an ArchiCad 26 project, you can either save to a previous ArchiCad version or save to .skp or c4d format and import the model into Twinmotion.
Thank you for your support of our Datasmith integrations and we look forward to your feedback on our latest version.
The Twinmotion Support team"
That's it. Unfortunately.
It is finally here!
