probably best to fake it with a translucent plane with a rotor blur texture on it. old school. i don’t think you can get that stable with motion blur vectors and temporal samples.
You could probably make a material with a procedural circular blur so you could have the blur change with speed.
Also look into what is being done for car wheels.
Hello,
Thanks for your help.
I’ll take a look but really ? using a fake billboard texture is really not what I want.
I want to use the actual rotor blade and rotorhead mesh for proper look and width.
Am not looking for real time rendering, goal is to use UE for a high def render ( still ) with same result as in Blender Motion Blur feature.
Can’t believe UE 5.7 can’t do that

Ok, that link to the car wheel may be what am looking for, will dig on it.
Thanks
Hello Zac, followed that tutorial and that works well for the example … But it requireed a second mesh, a blurred one to work.
Working with my own meshes, how can I create a blurred mesh ?
Thanks
This is what I founded: https://youtu.be/ddpoHE0WA-s?t=1227
Save your time, it doesn’t wortk for what you actually want, I am in the same boat trying everything, nothing looks realistic enough to convince me.
If you are using Movie Render Queue you just need to increase your Temporal Samples.
