Having issues updating my fortnite map.

After publishing a creative map I made some changes and wanted to update the map. The only means I found to update a map is to publish the map again. After doing this it failed to publish saying it wasn’t authentic thumbnails, description or title, even though I created them for the map the first time. I added some details to the description this time then tried to publish. In the description I stated 10 gold coins on Elimination and 2 vaults. I don’t see why this would have caused an issue though.

  • Is there a different way to update maps?
  • Did I do something wrong I don’t know of?

Would love some help on this as I am afraid to try and update my map now and I have planned updates for it.

It’s a bit demoralising getting this kind of rejection.

It may be “coins”, I was having trouble with descriptions related to currency, ended up just saying Equipment Room…

Try again, but watch if when typing in game description and stuff that the text doesn’t go red.

Was waiting to try again to see what I could learn, I will remove the coins from details and see if that works later today. I didn’t notice the text going red last time but I’ll pay close attention this time.

Take a look at the thumbnail guidelines.

If you’re still getting rejections, feel free to post your thumbnail/description here and we can speculate as to what you might be doing wrong.

I was able to get it to work by changing my description. Had already re-read all the different terms that could have shed some light on what was going wrong including the thumbnail guidelines and everything seems to be in line.

So instead of saying:

  • 10 Gold Coins on Elimination
  • 2 Vaults

I put:

  • Have fun with all weapons!
  • Enjoy powerful rewards when the vaults open!

I’m guessing what I tried first, too many use so I can’t. Tried to add those in as I thought they were details people might want to know before jumping in. When loading in I explain how many coins on elimination so that wasn’t needed in details.

I wanted to post what was included in the mode in bullets to present a quick clean way to see what could be found in the mode or what some settings were for it. I wasn’t ready to risk failing to get it posted again just to try different bullet layouts hoping 1 would work.

Regardless, I got it to work, thanks for the help.

Hey i have the same issue how you solve it i published a map but have to change the settings round doesnt and after last men standing etc but idk how to change settings on published map
