Hi all,
I’m experiencing an instant crash when opening the colour picker in Twinmotion, specifically when the application is on my external monitor. It works fine on my laptop screen.
System Specs:
- Laptop: MSI Vector
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop (Driver 610.47)
- RAM: 32GB
- OS: Windows 11
- External Monitor: HP Z24 (1920x1200, connected via HDMI)
- Laptop screen scaling: 150%
- External monitor scaling: 100%
Twinmotion versions affected:
- 2026.1 HF1
- 2025.2
Steps to reproduce:
- Connect an external monitor via HDMI
- Move Twinmotion window to external monitor
- Open any project or starter pack
- Click on any material and attempt to open the colour picker
- Twinmotion instantly crashes
What I’ve tried:
- Clean NVIDIA driver install (610.47)
- Clearing Twinmotion cache (Intermediate and Saved folders)
- Verifying installation via Epic Launcher
- Reinstalling Twinmotion 2025.2
- Adjusting external monitor scaling (100%, 125%, 150%)
- Applying DPI override compatibility settings on the executable
- Tried System, System (Enhanced) and Application DPI scaling options
Additional notes:
- Was working perfectly on both screens until recently
- Issue appeared after a full shutdown and reboot with no changes made
- Colour picker works fine when Twinmotion is on the laptop screen
- Windows updates installed around the same time: KB5087051 (.NET Framework Security Update), KB5089549, and an NVIDIA driver update via Windows Update (27/05/2026)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
