A new version of HacknPlan is live, you can take a look at http://hacknplan.com/dev-diary-11-2016-05-08/. This one has been a UX improvement iteration, where we have redesigned the navigation scheme of the site to reduce clicks and make the tool more intuitive and simple. I hope you like it
We released our brand new task search engine plus a task dependency system that will bring a new level of organization to your boards, allowing to block tasks that depend on others and being able to visually spot bottlenecks and possible issues. We also added some other improvements and bug fixes.
Quick idea for it, which would make this… godlike:
Using C++, plugins, and the web browser functionality, implement an in-engine “browser” of sorts for HackNPlan. The account settings would be extended into engine preferences, which would have the account settings. Of course it’s not needed, but it would be pretty awesome to have
Yes! We already thought about it. We are planning to build a public API, and the first thing we want to do with it is creating plugins to connect HacknPlan with other tools. This would also allow anyone to create their own plugin or app using our data, which we hope will make our community grow. Imagine something as simple but useful as pressing a key to open a bug in HacknPlan that automatically takes a screenshot from UE editor or running game and adds debug info to the description
We have new updates for HacknPlan. This time, we haven’t added new features but several improvements for existing functionality, especially in performance and usability. HacknPlan has been updated! This milestone has been focused on the game model feature, with many UX improvements, element cloning and element type customization. We also added a solution for the context menu issues and an important enhancement of performance on task loading.
This is amazing! I was actually looking for a gamedev specific task scheduler that was like trello but had more features that made things much easier to manage and organize!
Definitely taking this to my team and showing them how awesome this thing is!
