Guided Missile issue in UEFN/Creative maps

Summary

Guided Missile is broken for Fortnite Creative maps. If you use the weapon and get eliminated while the missile hasn’t exploded, you get stuck in place when respawned with the missile beeping sound playing over and over and over again. Won’t go away tell you leave the game

Steps to Reproduce

Step 1: Use Guided Missile
Step 2: Get someone to eliminate you when you’re using the missile
Step 3: When respawned, you will be frozen with missile sound playing over and over again.

Expected Result

Missile exploding glitches out when respawned

Observed Result

When respawned, you will be frozen with missile sound playing over and over again. Camera view is messed up, it won’t go away unless you leave the game(lobby) Happens about 50% of the time

The truth is that the big happens at these situations:

  1. If you return back to hub while driving the missile .
  2. If the game starts while you drive the missile

After some more testing, I found out how it happens. If you have saved data with “save loadout” and a player has Guided Missile in inventory. Next time they join the lobby, the issue will start happening

Will the RemovedEvent() have enough time to remove it from the player inventory ? you could remove it set a var in persistence or even turn on a switch then next game they join check the logic if they had it/switch is on or var is true then re grant ?

Might be a simple work around
