Guard's set to team "neutral" are aggressive for seemingly no reason

Summary

Before version 39.30, guards set to team “neutral” would remain neutral to a player unless provoked (attacked, etc.) Now, guards on team “neutral” will attack the player even when no action to provoke the guard has been committed.

Also note: I also have “allow hire conversation” checked. The second screenshot shows the “conversation/NPC” icon on the minimap even when the guard is attacking.

I would also like to add that this glitch only appears in playtests, and published version. It does not appear in edit sessions and creative 1.0.

thanks for posting this. I went to hire someone and they murdered me.

Same happens to me, also they don’t seem to spawn in on timers correctly, or at all at times. Seems fine when I playtest but as soon as published/private they behalf this way.

I just noticed this too in one of my maps where I have a lot of Guards set to be Neutral, so it is changing dynamic of the map by really ruining the gameplay.

Epic, please, fix it soon.

I had the same problem, thanks for the post.

Thanks, can you give us an heads up when its fixed? We can only check by publishing and i rather dont publish broken games

Any update for when this might be fixed?

I finally just set my “neutral” guards to “team1” so they stop attacking me, but that messes up my game for anyone on team2.

It’s also an issue that this is an inconsistency between game behavior in Edit Session vs Deployed Release.
