I’m noticing that (at certain distances, for example close up) the metahuman groom seems to always render on top of transparent materials. I have seen a few older posts about similar issues and have tried the solutions from most of them here, but still with no luck.
The first image is the problem I’m trying to solve. Interestingly, when the car is further away, the groom renders behind the glass.
The second image is messing with the cameras near clipping plane. setting it to it’s minimum value of .00001 will put the groom behind the glass, but the lighting is unacceptably messed up on the car hood, the buildings in the back and especially on the hair.
The third image is setting the “Translucency Pass” of the windshield material to “After DOF” but the edges of the glass are of course not getting DOF which is also no good.
Is anyone aware of a fix for this type of situation?
