Grass Tool Spawns in Air

Hi!
I’m using the Landscape Grass tool to place groundcover foliage on the grassy parts of my landscape, but the spawned foliage is frequently floating in the air at odd angles, never more than a meter above where it should be.
I have tried the commands RemoveLandscapeXYOffsets and grass.flushcache with no effect.

Is there a way around this bug?

Interestingly, the first grass type array (the short grass on the ground) does not seem to exhibit the behavior, but when I added more types to the same array, the problem persists with the new types.

My mesh pivot point was off because of a blender export setting, so the foliage was just rotating into the air.
